Worship in Tenerife. I am well aware that both expat residents and holidaymakers sometimes want to continue their religious worship while on the island. As Tenerife (along with its home country, Spain) is fiercely Roman Catholic, churches of that faith are numerous. As you can imagine, they generally conduct their services in Spanish. I've attempted to unearth places where English speaking worship takes place, including other main religions as well.

Because of the influx of British immigrants and holidaymakers, there are quite a few. Tenerife isn't exclusively Roman Catholic. There are a number of English speaking Anglican services throughout the island that you can attend. |

![]() | There is a mosque in Santa Cruz, on Calle Calvo Sotelo, which is a narrow side road off the major thoroughfare Rambla General Franco. Look for the sign over the door, saying Comunidad Musulmana de Tenerife. It's quite a small mosque and plans are afoot to build a bigger one. In the south of the island, there used to be a mosque downstairs at the Comodoro apartment complex in Los Cristianos, but it might not be there anymore. Apparently, there is a Muslim community in El Fraile, which is an area just near Las Galletas and they might have established a place for prayer. |
Situated opposite the tall, yellow Copacabana and the slightly smaller Acapulco apartment blocks, in the Vina del Mar building on Calle Guatamala, this family-run restaurant serves excellent Lebanese food. contact: Telephone: (+34) 922 789946 |

(20, Calle Perez Galdos, fourth floor.) In the south of the island, there is an Indian Cultural Centre, which is found in Torviscas Alto. (5, Calle Galicia, Urbanizacion Pineda Bajo 2.) |

There is, however, an organisation called Casa del Tibet, based in Barcelona, representing Buddhism in Spain. I suggest you take a look at their website for any possible further information. www.casadeltibetbcn.org/ |
