The Palms Pool Bar - a very attractive bar on Golf del Sur

The Palms Resort is a very picturesque complex on Golf del Sur and its Pool Bar is an equally picturesque watering hole, eatery and entertainment centre.

Run by Babs, it is open to non-residents of The Palms and welcomes all ages.

I've looked at images of this bar on the web and it is really nicely appointed.

Food is very important at this bar. From the moment it opens, at 10am, breakfasts are on offer and then, throughout the day, up to 5pm, a variety of snacks are available, such as sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes and pizzas.

From 5pm till 7:30pm every day except Sunday, there is an "early bird" extra-value meal deal. Thereafter, the full, extensive evening menu takes over.

On Sundays, the breakfast menu lasts until 1pm, then, for the rest of the day - it's the Sunday roast menu, something for which the bar is renowned.

This bar is also totally child-friendly, providing such things as air hockey, table tennis, a pool table and dart board. The venue also possesses a computer for customers' use and has free wifi too!

Adults aren't forgotten, of course. This establishment is an ideal place to relax with a drink on the outside terrace, which overlooks The Palms' swimming pool. As it is situated on a complex, it'll be nice and peaceful.

Come evening time, the entertainment kicks in. The Pool Bar provides some sort of activity every night, such as karaoke and quizzes.

Live music, however, is featured on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday (which is also barbecue night) and Friday. Commencing at 9:30, the acts take their final bow at 11:30. You'll be guaranteed top Tenerife artistes every time.

Although I don't know for sure, I imagine, as the bar is part of a complex, it will have to shut at midnight.

All in all - a great bar to visit!

To find it, first get yourself onto the Golf del Sur urbanization, by exiting the TF-1 motorway at junction 24, following the Los Abrigos sign, then enterting the Golf. Once on the one-way ring road, watch out for a huge medical centre on the left (sign: "Excellent Medical"). The Palms resort is immediately after this, on the same side and you can park on the main road. The gate into the complex is about halfway along the row of chalets and there's a sign over it for the Pool Bar. Once on the complex, the bar is signposted.
