The unobtrusive exterior of the building housing this restaurant belies the charming dining experience you'll experience if you cross the threshold.

You have the option of dining in a very attractive open courtyard/terrace, surrounded by the traditional Canarian balconies all adorned with flowers.

Owner Mario provides cuisine that could be described as "home cooking" - that is to say, he uses only fresh, local produce.

Specialities of the house include fish, meats, potatoes and cheeses.

The two chefs (one of whom is from Venezuela) favour traditional Canarian recipes and can be guaranteed to produce quality, tasty dishes for surprisingly reasonable prices.

Mentioned on various websites as worthy of note are the rancho canario soup and the restaurant's range of arepas (sort of pasties, but with potato instead of pastry, with a variety of fillings).

The eatery affects a friendly, family atmosphere and you will be sure of attentive and efficient service.

As a nice touch, the menu is multilingual, including English and German.

To find it, you need to be on the TF-324 road. From Los Realejos, take the TF-335 going south. Enter the one way street at the roundabout, then, when the road forks, take the left one (signed La Orotava). This road eventually becomes the TF-324 and you should stick to it, following any signs for La Orotava.

Stay on this road for a good while, watching out, eventually, for a small sign saying "La Perdoma". The road then becomes one-way and you have to go as far as you can on this, before you have to turn left.

At the end of this short bit of road, turn left again, so you're, in effect doubling back on yourself. On this road, you will soon arrive at the restaurant, on the left.

You can also take the TF-324 road from La Orotava and this will take you directly to the restaurant.
