Restaurante Gom Tenerife is found in a narrow side street in central Santa Cruz, just off Rambla General Franco, not far from Parque Garcia Sanabria.
A stylish, understated exterior leads to an exquisitely designed interior, with clean, modern lines, as befits an establishment run by a Michelin standard chef.
Restaurante Gom is one of three restaurants under the auspices of master chef Victor Cruz. It is part of the Michelin starred Hotel Taburiente, but can be accessed from the street.
The restaurant describes its cuisine as "fusion". Finely presented dishes include such delights as sashimi of bream with seaweed caviar, marinated Chinese white radish and tamarind coulis; smoked sirloin carpaccio with drops of white truffle oil and sheets of pecorino cheese and botelus mushrooms; cod confit in peanut oil and crackling accompanied by sticky rice with raisins and pine nuts; low temperature squid confit in sesame oil with falafel and yogurt sauce and coconut froth; wafer thin Iberica pork with shavings of crackling, cassava chips and palm syrup flavored with mint; and quail caramelized in honey, soy and sesame with cream of yellow sweet potato and watercress sprouts.
For dessert, how about cold soup of white chocolate with mandarin sorbet and mint balsamic cream, or gin and tonic sorbet with thyme gelatin and lime jam?
Restaurante Gom caters for both lunchtime and evening dining.

You can access Restaurante Gom Tenerife as follows. You need to be on the major thoroughfare Rambla General Franco, next to the large green area Parque Garcia Sanabria. With the park on your right, walk up the road, turning right off this where there is a cafe/bar called Macusamba on the corner. This is Calle Doctor Guigou and a short way along this, you'll come to the restaurant, on the right.
