Pheasant Plucker Tenerife - a British Family Fun Bar

The Pheasant Plucker Tenerife is a "British Family Fun Bar" situated in prime position in the San Eugenio area of Las Americas.

Known for many years as the "Squinting Cat", this quite compact bar offers a fun evening of family entertainment every night of the week.

The bar, although positioned right on the main road, has a small outside terrace, covered by an awning. Inside, the bar is furnished tastefully, with a British pub flavour.

Throughout the day, food is on offer, consisting of bar snacks and such things as jacket potatoes with various fillings.

In the drinks department, the bar offers cheap prices during its "happy hour". This lasts considerably longer than 60 minutes - it is all day, up to 8pm!

The bar's entertainment programme is compered by Craig Shaw. He has been resident at the venue for some time and can always be guaranteed to get the crowd going.

Kicking off things at around 8:30, he will sing a few songs, clown about with the audience and run some fun games for all the family. "Spin The Wheel" is a popular one. There is also a karaoke session for all you would-be vocalists.

Come 10pm and it is time for the cabaret. The Pheasant Plucker always presents the cream of Tenerife entertainers, with guest acts ranging from tribute acts, to drag acts, to comedy.

All in all, this is a very popular family bar and is usually full. Holidaymakers return to it time and time again.

This bar is found on the main road Avenida de España, in the same strip containing the famous Star Bar.
