Murphy's Bar Tenerife is often cited as one of the best Irish bars in the south of the island.
Situated bang in the centre of things, in Playa de Las Americas, it offers fun live entertainment, Irish style, every night of the week.
A spacious bar, manned by Tenerife verteran Danny, it is open through the day, from 11am, for big TV screen sporting events, which you can enjoy over a drink.
In the evenings, live entertainment begins at around 9-9:30pm and continues until 1:30am.
Currently in residence at this venue is celebrated Irish entertainer, Michael Graham.
Hailing from County Down, he has been resident on the island since the mid 1990s. While he performs regularly at Murphy's, he often pops over to the UK to perform in sell-out concerts that also feature such notable Irish performers as Daniel O' Donnell and the Furey Brothers.
He has also co-written a song which was recorded by Daniel O' Donnell and others for his own CDs.
Much of Michael's material has a traditional Irish flavour and appears to appeal more to the mature audience. With his music, the bar is an ideal place to get up and dance and let your hair down.
Murphy's certainly guarantees you a great night out.
To find this bar is pretty easy. Aim for Starco, the famous collection of bars and clubs, directly opposite the Veronicas strip. Go down the left side of there and you'll come to a pedestrian walkway to your right, just past Lineker's Bar. Murphy's is on the corner on the opposite side of this, a predominanty green building (appropriately), next to the Wigan Pier.
