Gaelic Corner Tenerife is the sister bar to The Dubliner and is situated on the floor above it. It has the same owners - a Spaniard with an Irish wife and serves the daytime and evening, where the Dubliner serves the evening till very late.
Open since 2007, this bar features a pleasant, large open terrace with comfortable seating, plus a nicely done out interior.
Food is available at this establishment, with snacks and traditional British fare on offer.
Drinks, it has been noted by customers on forums, tend to be slightly more expensive than other bars.
Staff, apparently, are really friendly and game for a laugh, the premises are always spotlessly clean and you can always be assured of a warm welcome.
The bar opens all day till reasonably late. If you want to carry on drinking after it shuts, you just move downstairs to the Dubliner!
Entertainment here is provided by resident musician, keyboard/vocalist Andy Boyle. He performs from 9:30pm till around 1am. If anyone wishes to get up and sing a song, he has no problem with that, but with two stipulations - you must know the words (as it's not karaoke - there's no TV screen showing the lyrics) and he must know the song himself, so he can play the accompaniment!
All in all, customers have asserted, without exception, that this bar provides a great night out.
Situated on the main road at the end of Patch, to the right.
