Tucked away up a passageway in central Los Gigantes is this charming, intimate restaurant. With a comparatively small inner room, it also features a rustic courtyard, for al fresco dining. This, together with the pristine table settings, make it ideal for a romantic meal for two.
A family-run business, the kitchen is manned by two brothers - Juan Carlos himself and Jonathan.
The brothers were the sons of a chef and both decided to follow in their father's footsteps by studying the hotel trade and the culinary arts. Juan Carlos worked for a time in his father's kitchen and has worked in prestigious locations in both France and Madrid.
Jonathan, on the other hand, became a pastry chef and sommellier and is resposible for the creation of many exotic and exquisite desserts in their restaurant today.
Declared by some customers as having a standard of cooking worthy of a Michelin star, this restaurant is one of the best in Los Gigantes.
The chefs create not just superb meals - they are works of art.
Some examples of their inimitable concoctions are oxtail with celery puree and truffle, black pudding with almond cream, black olive churros and chicken salad with boletus and cacao.
There is also a "gourmet menu", consisting of 10 taster dishes.
Jonathan comes into his own with a superb selection of desserts and, after your main course, you may find yourself presented with a complimentary selection of hand-made sweets as well!
Despite all this, prices are much cheaper than you'd find in many tourist restaurants in the south of the island.

The walkway where this restaurant is situated is called Calle Pasaje Jacaranda, which is accessed from either Avenida de Jose Gonzalez Fortes or Calle Flor de Pascua and is not far from the Los Gigantes Diving Centre.
