courtyard bar los gigantes
This compact bar, more properly called "Courtyard Cabaret and Sports Bar", caters primarily for British holidaymakers and ex-pats, offering them a warm, convivial welcome. It is also a bar at which I worked, one night a week, as half of a duo, with my mate Toby (but more of him later).
Apparently, since my return to the UK, in 2003, the bar has had a rather chequered history, with quite a few changes of management - even closing down for a while in 2010.
These days, it has successfully reopened and has been refurbished. As its name suggests, it shows major sporting events, displayed on numerous large TV screens dotted about the place.
During football season, there are up to six Premier League matches shown on Saturday afternoon!
Come nightfall, the venue transforms into a cabaret bar and features top Tenerife entertainers.
It is worth mentioning at this point, Toby Graham, the guitar/vocalist with whom I worked one night a week back in the early 2000s. In those days, he was actually manager and compere of the venue and now, although having abandoned this role, has still maintained a connection with the place.
As I understand it, he appears at the Courtyard three nights a week. He is a fine singer, a consummate professional, as well as being a really nice bloke.
Although the bar doesn't do food, there are bar snacks available, plus, for those who want to save on the pennies, regular 2-for-1 drinks offers.

The bar is actually in the Puerto Santiago area and is situated on the one-way ring road, on the left as you follow the direction of the traffic.
Watch out for the large hotel Barcelo Santiago and the Courtyard is directly opposite.
