The Bulls Head is a large bar, second one along from the road on the Parque La Paz strip.
For many years, it had Irish live entertainment and I was fortunate to be involved with it for a time.
These days, however, though the accent is still on great live entertainment, the music is all different styles, to suit the audience who are in on that particular night.
The live entertainment now consists of a Bulgarian band called the Vagabonds, resident there six nights a week. (They have Wednesdays off.) Consisting of Ivan, James and Nasko, playing guitar, bass and drums, they skilfully appraise their audience and will tailor their music to suit.
One amusing feature of their act is that they will swap around on who-plays-what and each member can play all the other instruments just as well as his own.
The venue has a spacious interior and a large terrace. Being purely a bar, rather than a restaurant, there is no food served, but a fine array of drinks is available, brought to your table by the efficient bar staff.
It is more a night-time venue and thus stays open quite late. (The live music, however, finishes at midnight, as is the law.)
