Starco - Veronicas's little brotherAlthough I've called Starco "Veronicas's little brother", it does have one or two gems amongst its collection of clubs and bars. Situated opposite the Veronicas strip, it has just as much claim to fame for venues where young people can enjoy a night out and let their hair down. The self-styled "King of Clubs" and "Tenerife's Number One Superclub", Tramps has a 2000-person capacity. Open from 9pm till 6am, it has three seperate rooms - a dance room, an R 'n' B room and a party room. In operation for ten years, it has hosted events from such Clubbing luminaries as Gatecrasher and Godskitchen - plus BBC Radio One!
Another famous venue - and, yes, you are right about the name connection. This bar is owned by Gary Lineker's brother, Wayne. By day, as befits its football connection, Lineker's is a sports bar, with 26 large TV screens showing sporting events from round the world. At night, the bar comes alive, with some of the UK's premier DJs playing all the top dance tracks. As well as the large central showbar, there is a cocktail bar, a games room and a spacious outside terrace. It's a good place to go for a bit of celebrity spotting, too! This is a "fun pub", playing music from the 80s. If anyone has more info on this venue, please let me know, using feedback.
An excellent venue for young people who want to get wasted. "Drinking games" are very popular and I expect the place is very loud and boisterous.
As its name suggests, it's a basement bar, found underneath Lineker's, therefore getting quite hot when crowded. It's usually packed and is a fun pub with good music.
Fun pub with great atmosphere. Dance to R n B, classics from the 90s and up-to-date chart hits.
