Restaurante Los Naranjeros Tenerife - a top class restaurant in Cabo Blanco

At about a 15 minute drive out of Los Cristianos is the village of Cabo Blanco. It's a mostly residential area and has a main street lined with shops, bars and other businesses and is totally non-tourist.

It is in this unlikely location that you'll find the superb Canarian restaurant Los Naranjeros.

With a large, spacious interior with clean, modern lines, you'll find it an ideal way to enjoy an excellent example of traditional Canarian cuisine - with idiosyncratic twists.

The menu is extensive, with Canarian dishes such as sea bass, pork with Canarian potatoes, steak with ratatouille and the restaurant's star dish, timbale of octopus with sweet potatoes and green mojo.

All dishes are expertly prepared and presented with style and care.

Los Naranjeros also boasts a superb wine selection and all the bottles are stored in a special corner of the restaurant, near the kitchen, partitioned off from the main room and kept at the ideal temperature and humidity for the wine to be perfect.

This area is also used as a humidifier for storing a comprehensive selection of fine cigars.

I have to admit, I'm a bit stumped here. I spent around two hours scouring the Internet for this restaurant's location, only to find four different possible addresses for it - one not even in Cabo Blanco!

I'll tell you first how to get to Cabo Blanco. From the TF-1 motorway, take the exit marked "Guaza" and "Buzanada" and follow the Buzanada sign. At the top of the hill, at the mini roundabout, take the third exit and this road eventually becomes the main road through Cabo Blanco. When you spot the supermarket "Mercadona" on your right, try to stop and park.

Out of all the possible locations for Los Naranjeros, this is the most likely. There is a large building to the right of Mercadona, taking up a whole block. The restaurant is probably found somewhere in this edifice. I suggest you walk round it and, with any luck, you'll spot it.
