El Greco Restaurant Tenerife - a superb Greek restaurant

The Safari Commercial Centre in Las Americas seems to be home to a variety of top-class restaurants and here is another. Taverna El Greco is, as the name suggests, a Greek eatery, serving traditional cuisine, but with five-star quality.

Like all the others, this charming restaurant is situated on the top floor and you'll find an airy, spacious room, decorated very tastefully.

Extremely friendly, helpful staff will show you to your table and, as well as perusing the menu, you'll be able to cast your eye over the "fresh meat counter", where all the uncooked meats are on display, including a selection of succulent kebabs. You're free to choose what you want!

Chef Babis Gontevas is rooted in the Greek culinary tradition and presents authentic distinctive dishes representative of his country and culture.

Customers, on forums, have raved about his fillet steaks, chilli feta and mixed souvlaki. The kitchen itself features a real barbecue, where items such as the delicious kebabs are actually cooked over hot coals!

As if all that wasn't enough, it's likely that, during your meal, you'll be entertained by a traditional Greek musical duo in the shape of Dimitra and Stavros.
