Hi Krystina. Thanks for asking the question. It's made me look into this more deeply and it appears that you can apply for this permit online!

I've found a link for you to try here.

It's in Spanish, but there you'll find info about the campsites, plus a link to apply for a permit. The link says "Solicitar Permiso". You click on that, use the Google or Yahoo translator (if you don't speak Spanish) and follow the instructions.

Good luck!

New Link?

This link doesn't work anymore. Anyone know of a new one for obtaining a camping permit?

Hi Shelly,

The original link I had on my site stopped working, when, apparently, Tenerife Council decided to change things - not for the better, in my opinion.

I replaced the link with the new, correct one some time ago. It does work - I just tried it. If you give it another go, you should get a webpage headed "Acampadas Tenerife".

From here, select "Tramita tu Solicitud". You'll then get a page which I can't follow at all, even using Google translator, but it seems to be a way to apply for a permit. It appears to be a very complicated process, nothing like when Krystina got hers.

Good luck with it!
