Swissair pets policy states that the airline is prepared to carry animals on all its flights, both in the cargo hold and the cabin.
However, animals travelling from the UK and Ireland are only allowed on board the aeroplane as freight, in the cargo hold.
Some routes calculate the cost according to the weight of the animal and its crate; others charge for this service according to the size of the crate. You need to check with the Swiss Air Cargo Office (contact details below).
As usual, all animals must have the necessary legal documents and the travelling container must comply with the guidelines on the main "Pets" page.
Pets don't necessarily have to travel on the same flight as you. If they travel on a different flight, they'll be kept in a holding area until you can collect them.
