Scam at Costa Adeje
by: AnPaulineonymous

Exactly the same thing happened to us as happened to Sheila and Phyllis. It is unbelievable how clever they are they must have a degree in scamming. We lost over £5000 because the products that we have are rubbish.
I don't know what the rules are when you buy goods abroad that are not fit for purpose but I am investigating it.
The first shop was called Fashion Square in Puerto Colon Costa Adeje. The men who dealt with us were all Indian and they had this incredible plan.
Why they haven't been closed down I can't imagine. They are harming the reputation of Tenerife and there seem to be so many of them.
We have reported them to the Fraud agency and we have a crime number and we are going to pursue this with the bank and credit card companies.
I am reporting it to the hotel also.
I feel that I am finished with Tenerife. Wish me luck.

Mamma Mia Shop Adeje
by: Anonymous

Avoid the first electrical shop that says genuine Apple shop with the Apple symbol. Guy goes under the name of Sam, stands outside. Inside is Indian called Robin and another called Gary, all very nice until you don’t want to buy the insurance for phone or the antivirus. Note the name of the shop is Mamma Mia electrical shop. If anyone can help get back the £1229 spent by any means I am open to email and report these people. They downloaded my details onto a USB pen and copied my passport details and credit card, said they needed it for customs receipt.

Scammed by Reserva Directa
by: Joanne

Scammed too! By the company so called Reserva Directa! Also owed 5 weeks of accommodation, purchased in Costa Adeje October 2019 at the offices in the basement of the Flamingo Beach Mate Hotel. My partner and I did have telephone contact on two occasions from Nadia, around Christmas 2020 and in the beginning May 2021. We have have sent endless emails, all replied to in an automated fashion.
Just under £4000 lost!
OMG they are the best actors ever! Seeming all professional, they are total scumbags.
We are now trying to somehow get our money back!

Reserva Directa
by: Anonymous

This is definitely a scam company. I won a holiday with people who are paid to dish out scratch cards on their behalf. Then they take you to the basement of a hotel, show you around and offer you this supposedly fantastic deal. Nadia will do all the booking of flights etc for you. They show you websites of the places you could go to, all looks idyllic but when you reflect, there are no prices. Realistically you could find these places and probably pay the same!! They draw you in and I was one of those people. I paid a deposit and lost it as the blinkers came off and thought what am I doing?? I didn’t claim my free holiday. I was totally suckered. Be aware you will lose your hard earned money.

Scammed by Reserva Direct.
by: Alex

We were also scammed by this company. We tried to book a holiday to be told that the hotel wanted 300 euro deposit in cash. The reviews online regarding the hotel did not give me any confidence in staying there. Asking for a change of location was ignored. Due to a change in my health I have not been able to continue trying to get this resolved. I don’t think that I have any chance of getting any refund of the £4000 paid to these professional scammers. I will not be returning to any of the holiday islands in this area. We would normally go every year. Never again. A very good way to destroy a country's tourist trade.

Reserva Directa
by: Anonymous

We have just received £4000 compensation from our bank because we paid by credit card. May be worth contacting your bank and putting in a Section 75 claim. We had to show all proof of purchase of the weeks bought. Well worth all the effort. After one telephone call the rest was done online. Good luck.

One Stop Shop Scam
by: Anonymous

Exactly the same thing happened to us. I cannot believe we fell for this, I am gutted that we have been so gullible.
Same scenario; bought a tablet then advised to return the day before we were flying home to have antivirus and converted to English and receive document for Tax Free goods, (hence giving them our flight details).
When we returned we were taken to the One Stop Shop (next to De Angelo restaurant) where we were conned in to paying for Google Satellite services on the tablet, a HD box and a Sat phone thrown in!
I have contacted my bank and credit card supplier who are investigating however I am not holding my breath after reading these posts.
I am looking in to flying back over there and contacting the police to come with me to the shop, don’t know what good that will do though.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE VILLIANS, I cannot believe we fell for it, so convincing!

Scammers
by: Anonymous

We were stopped by these folk today in Adeje, same story. Scratch card where we've won something, taken to the same basement room at the hotel. We were asked if we wanted the 90min tour, didn't like the vibe so they offered us our free bottle of wine and we walked away - had a feeling it was a scam, feel sorry for the others who have lost money - not funny. Outside the scammers were getting more people - crazy.
