Hi Richard,

Let me stress that this is only my opinion, but recent news items have shown that certain EU countries, including Spain, have suffered terribly from the world-wide recession and, in certain parts of mainland Spain, the cost to holidaymakers of such things as food and drink has plummeted.

This may also apply to property. You need to keep your eye on Tenerife estate agents' websites.
