The municipality of San Miguel de Abona includes the two holiday urbanizations, Golf del Sur and Amarilla Golf and these two areas are blessed with a few beaches, albeit of poor quality.
Playa San Blas
Connected to Golf del Sur, this is a grey beach consisting of stones and sand - not very appealing.
Playa Amarilla
In the vicinity of Amarilla Golf, this rocky beach has quite difficult access. Apparently, it is a good area for scuba diving.
Playa Colmenares
Just past Amarilla Golf, there is this fairly substantial beach. It is a crescent of grey sand and, as it is a sort of inlet, the water laps in very gently, so it is ideal for swimming.
It is a bit middle-of-nowhere, so, if you go there, you're likely to have it to yourself.
