This bar, situated in the area El Camison up the hill behind Los Cristianos, has had a few ups and downs recently, with changes of management and entertainment. There was even talk about it being closed and reopened as a restaurant, called Las Pergolas. I don't think that should be taken seriously, as a restaurant with that name already exists - right next to Summer Nites!
The bar, these days, is still very much up and running. Half of a uniquely set-up double bar (the other part being "Summer Days"), this modestly sized venue is typically British, with a nice, compact interior and small terrace.
Reports on forums tell of staff being friendly and welcoming and food being excellent.
The bar is open throughout the day and sometimes will show UK premier league football matches on the big screen.
Come the evening, Summer Nites adopts its cabaret bar persona and features different quality acts each night. The whole thing is compered (as far as I know) by Angie, who could best be described as a "rock chick". Many forum posts have commented on her excellent voice.
To find it, walk up the hill away from the sea from the mini roundabout near the Arona Gran Hotel. Cross the big roundabout, going straight on. At the next, smaller roundabout, turn right. You'll find Summer Nites along there, on your right.
All in all, an brilliant place to have a night out!
