Sama Sama Tenerife - ideal for chilling

The strip of bars and restaurants in the area of Los Cristianos known as San Telmo contains, these days, some very presentable establishments and Sama Sama is one of them.

It is an Italian tapas bar and is renowned for the quality of its pizzas.

It has a modest exterior, consisting of a hatch where you can sit an enjoy a drink. A door next to this leads into a quite compact interior, decorated in a unique eclectic style.

Carry on through the venue and you reach the rear open air terrace area, which overlooks the beautiful Las Vistas beach.

As well as pizza, other Italian staples are available, such as pastas, salads and carpaccios.

Another good reason to visit is for the drinks. As well as all the usuals, Sama Sama offers a comprehensive selection of cocktails - their mojito is reported as being the best around.

To find the San Telmo strip, you can begin from the church square in the centre of Los Cristianos. Walk up the road to the right of the church, then turn left, making your way along the road behind it.

At the end of this road, there's a big roundabout and San Telmo is diagonally opposite, extending off to the right. Walk along the strip of bars and you'll soon come to Sama Sama.
