Restaurante Chino - one of the best Chinese restaurants in the south
Restaurante Chino - in food and service, it leaves its competitors behind.
It is a family run business, with the father cooking his delicious dishes in the kitchen and his son managing the front of house.
Staff are always friendly and welcoming and, when we lived in Tenerife, we visited there often. They would always remember us, even showing us to our usual table and, in the case of the boss's son, reciting our order before we had chance to tell him! Sometimes we hadn't been in for a couple of months, but he still remembered.
Now that's class.
The interior is nice and luxurious. Food can be enjoyed in subdued surroundings, accompanied by the soft sounds of traditional Chinese music.
Try the salt-and-pepper spare ribs - they're not like you get anywhere else. Bite-sized and succulent, they melt off the bone and you get a serving of sweet-and-sour sauce in which to dip them.
This excellent Chinese restaurant can be found by walking down the Patch, towards the sea. You will see it about halfway down on the right.
