Religious Ceremony

by Rasa

I am travel agent/wedding coordinator from London and writing you on behalf of my customers.
They would love to get marry next year June in Tenerife. After all researches we found the easier way would be to do religious ceremony instead of civil one.
Your help answering these few questions would be much appreciated.
1. If they want religious ceremony what steps we have to do first and is it going to be legally recognised in UK? Or civil marriage back home is still required?
2. If they having civil ceremony here in UK (Lithuania Embassy as they both are Lithuanians) what documentation they need to provide to get religious ceremony in Tenerife?
3. If they would do blessing ceremony on the beach can real priest give them a blessing or it has to be done just in church?

Thank you for any help

Hi Rasa. My webpage pretty much addresses all your questions, but the most important thing to stress is that only Tenerife residents are allowed to marry on the island. Non-residents must marry elsewhere, then come to Tenerife for a blessing ceremony.

Regarding what documentation is necessary, I've listed six Tenerife wedding coordinators on that same page, who would be happy to arrange all that for your clients.
