I'd like to learn basic Spanish that I can use in Tenerife (I know most of the locals speak some English but it's nice to make an effort) but I've heard that the Spanish spoken in Tenerife is not quite the same as "mainland" Spanish.
Is this true? And if so can you point me to a website with basic "Tenerife Spanish" phrases I can learn?

We'd like to find out more about mooring legalities in Tenerife, but I've been unable to find much information on this. I've been on sites for mooring sales & rentals but there's nothing other than the actual moorings available. What we'd like to know is, is there an annual charge for a mooring if you have bought the mooring as opposed to renting it? If we rent it, do we have separate electricity/water charges, or is this covered in the rental?
Any information, or direction to information, would be most appreciated!
Thanks.

When booking our holiday we asked could we take one more bag as my son is coeliac which is an autoimmune disease and we have to bring his own bread and pasta. The travel agent rang Thompson and we were told that we could bring an extra bag at no extra cost. Now they have gone back on their word saying that the bread is readily available in Tenerife. This is really upsetting. Does anyone know where I can buy this bread in Tenerife?

We have a car so can drive to nearby towns if need be.
In addition, any information you can provide on excursions to top of Teide will also be appreciated. Different types of excursions, day/ night, car routes, other means of transport etc, I understand there is a cable car as well, cost of that etc? Can we do combination drive/ cable car and walk on our own or is only through an 'operator'.
Thank you in advance.

We have two kids aged 5 & 6 years old. I have purchased an 'Ultimate Tenerife Ticket' from Attraction Tickets. This is a ticket that can be bought in the UK only and not when you arrive in Tenerife.
It includes a day in Loro Park, a day in Siam Park and a free return day to a park of your choice. Included with these tickets are lots of great deals eg lunch, buses.
However when buying the tickets I phoned Attraction Ticket and spoke to them as I could only buy a ticket for a child aged 6-11 years. One of my children is only 5 years old. I was advised on the phone that its ok the 5 year old will go free and does not need a ticket.
Can someone confirm this for me please. Are children aged 5 and under free? Do I not need a ticket for that child?

I received a request, via feedback, from a lady requiring a long holiday let and I advised her to post a question, using this facility. She had problems with this, so I'm doing it on her behalf. Here is Vivienne's original communication:
"Would like to rent a property near sea. Bungalow or similar. Pool. Have 2 small house trained dogs that sleep on balcony. From Dec 20th 2017 to March 2018."
If anyone has, or knows of, such a property, just post a comment to this. Thanks, on Vivienne's behalf.

I fly to Tenerife on Sunday; I have read on the gov website that I can bring back 200 cigarettes / 250g tobacco. However it said that if you were to go over the allowance you have to pay 2.5% of the product's value. Does this mean that I can bring back as much as I want as long as I pay the 2.5%?

What's happening at Aeroporto Sud? Only 6 electronic immigration machines and then it's down to two with your fingerprint. Arrived 14 December after 4 hour flight and then it took 55 minutes to get through immigration. I thought tourism was the main source of income for Tenerife and you want us to return. If so, you urgently need to improve this immigration system.
