• Do you remember the time when a bicycle had one white light on the front and one red light on the back - instead of a ridiculous flashing beacon on top of the rider's helmet, on his feet, or, heaven help us, on his elbow? Do you remember when a cyclist would glance over his shoulder to check for any approaching traffic when pulling out to overtake a parked car?
  
  Ah, the good old days!
