• Why, at roundabouts and junctions in Tenerife, is there loads of vegetation, perfectly positioned to obscure the view of any oncoming traffic? It's very annoying.

• Why do some suitcases never get picked up from the carousel, going round and round for ever? Where are their owners?

• Why, whenever it rains in Tenerife, do all the roads fall to bits?

• One of the more ridiculous items of recent years - still refusing to go away. The bum bag/fanny pack. You don't tend to see them in everyday life, but, as soon as you get to an airport, there they are. They must be one of the most ugly accessories ever conceived. Please throw them away!
