El Molino Blanco - Tenerife's top restaurant

El Molino Blanco (The White Windmill) has to be one of the top restaurants of Tenerife (and the only one of this calibre in the south). Situated in the rather nice area of San Eugenio Alto, in Costa Adeje, just west of Las Americas, this establishment is so prestigious, it has been visited, in the past by singers Jose Feliciano and Mariah Carey and, more recently, by none other than Rod Stewart. Fortunately, as well as world-famous celebrities, they also allow in ordinary members of the public, like you and me!

For a restaurant with an international reputation, you may be surprised how charmingly rustic it appears, with its trademark windmill built onto the restaurant building. All this is set within lovely gardens, filled with indigenous plants and flowers. Such is the layout of the interior, there are many different areas you can sit within the restaurant, or you could, of course, choose to eat outside.

There is a varied, typically Canarian menu, always using the best quality products, including full tapas selection, with barbecued meat and roast dishes a speciality. The chefs are constantly developing their ideas, always striving to improve and your plate is always perfectly presented.

To complement your food, there is a well-stocked wine cellar, with the best Tenerife wine, as well as all the finest international vineyards.

The pleasant environment, with its welcoming decor, plus the quality service and great food, might seem to be all you could wish for. But then, we have the entertainment! Whether it be a violinist, serenading your table, or a pianist/singer, performing for dancing, or even Luis, the singing chef, this is the icing on the cake.

This fine restaurant has a truly international reputation. If you feel like pushing the boat out, why not try it. With the likes of Mariah and Rod gracing its tables, who knows who you might bump into!
