Lucky Leprechaun Costa del Silencio - a superb Irish bar

lucky leprechaun costa del silencio

For many years, Irish entertainer Mark was working as half of a duo called "Celtic Confusion", which enjoyed successful residences in top Irish bars in Los Cristianos.

He eventually left his musical partner, Derek, to set up his own business and the result is the Lucky Leprechaun, in Costa del Silencio.

Opening in April, 2011, this has proved to be a very popular family-run bar, offering Irish friendliness and some great music.

Together with Mark, there is his wife, Ziggy, on the team, as well as his Dad, Joe. Ziggy mans the bar, while the father and son duo provide the entertainment.

The pedigree of these two musicians is impressive. Mark has lived on Tenerife since 2003 and has always enjoyed a successful musical career. His father is a seasoned entertainer, starting his career back in Ireland, where he spent a good while touring with the popular Irish folk singer, Christy Moore.

Needless to say, an Irish father-and-son combination makes for some hilarious banter, with quality musical perfomances thrown in.

The festivities happen every night of the week.

As well as this, the bar offers traditional Irish food, such as bacon and cabbage, Irish sausages with champ and Irish stew. Of course, other staple bar meals are available, like burger and chips.

The drinks menu continues the Irish theme, with draught Guinness and Magners cider.

For those of you partaking of a drink during the day, there are TV screens showing all major sporting events.

On Sunday afternoons, the bar offers a free portion of Irish stew to its customers!

You find this bar by getting into Costa del Silencio and along the main street running through it. There's a complex with a sort of tower with El Chaparall on it and, to the right of this, a Hiperdino supermarket. The Lucky Leprechaun is next to this.
