Jaqelz Bar Los Cristianos - open since 2010 and doing great business

The unusual name results from the new landlady combining the names of her two children and, as names go, is certainly memorable.

For former fans of Taylor Made Music, the bar has continued with the same programme of entertainment.

It also serves food from 5pm-9pm weekdays and from 12pm-9pm weekends. There are also daily specials. Drinks prices are also reasonable and, in the wake of the VAT increase, the management have elected not to put their prices up - which is good of them!

All the main Premier League football is shown on the big screen and, later in the evening, the entertainment begins.

From what I can gather, the bar has recently changed its compere and, unfortunately, I don't have any information regarding who the new one is.

There is karaoke featured, but also a selection of different top cabaret acts every night.

To find the bar, set off walking up the hill away from the sea from the mini roundabout near the Arona Gran Hotel. Go straight on at the big roundabout you come to, then you'll come across it on your right.
