Island Rides Tenerife - island tours as pillion on a Harley Davidson

Island Rides is a unique company providing varied tours around Tenerife. The uniqueness comes from the fact that customers are driven round as pillion passenger on the back of a classic Harley Davidson!

So, if you're not familiar with riding a powerful motorbike, you can still enjoy the experience, with an expert controlling the machine.

The company was almost started by accident. The owners, Mark and Nancy have had a passion for bikes for many years and used to travel around in groups of friends, giving some of them lifts on the pillion.

They eventually hit on the idea of creating a business offering this service - and Island Rides was born.

Tours Offered

There are four options:

Island Tour

As the name implies, this is a full tour, travelling all round the coast of the island in a clockwise direction. It takes in such landmarks as Los Gigantes, Masca, Icod de Los Vinos, Puerto de La Cruz, Santa Cruz and Candelaria.

Stop-offs are frequent, for you to do some sightseeing.

Teide Tour

This route takes you, via Arona and Vilaflor, up the mountain road - spectacular scenery!

Los Gigantes Tour

A bit more than the name suggests. The neighbouring towns of Playa San Juan and Los Gigantes are taken in, then the tour carries on, through Tamaimo, to Santiago del Teide and then to Guia de Isora.

Boulevard Tour

A leisurely tour along the south coast, taking in all the tourist centres - Los Cristianos, Playa de Las Americas, Torviscas and Fañabe. After a visit to the village of La Caleta, the tour carries on up to Adeje.

For experienced bikers, Island Rides also offers motorbike rental, so you can drive yourself. They will even provide accommodation, too, if you wish.

They will show you a selection of tours and you can choose which one. There will be an experienced guide at your disposal.

There is also the option to totally customise your tour. Island Rides will take care of everything.
