Hi Gillian,

Yes, you can have driving lessons in Tenerife. They'll usually be conducted in Spanish, but I've researched it a bit and updated my driving in Tenerife page with information about a lady offering English language driving lessons.

You need to be aware that the Spanish driving test is much, much more difficult than the UK one (with a written theory test having to be passed before they'll even let you near a car).

Far better to obtain a licence in the UK, which can initially be used in Tenerife, but will eventually have to be officially stamped, or exchanged for a Spanish one.
